Issue 16 - Friday 18th December 2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
Parkfielders across the school have this week enjoyed a range of festive activities to get them in the mood for Christmas and it's been great to see excitement at the school rise to new levels. Today's parties have provided the children with some great memories and given them the opportunity to celebrate with friends for the first time in a long while.
For Parkfield, like all schools, this term has been incredibly challenging due to the pandemic. Although we've had to adapt and change our usual rules and routines, I have to admit that the staff and children have been amazing and proved how resilient they can be under such difficult circumstances. Keeping within bubbles, regularly sanitizing hands and wiping down ipads after use have become Parkfield 'norms' that children have adapted to.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank yourselves for your support over the past term. The school community has had to work together to keep everyone safe and one of the main reasons why we've had so few cases within school, in addition to a lot of luck, is because our families are following the rules. If we can continue this going into 2021 our school community will be a much safer place for all.
Please enjoy your Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. We look forward to seeing all Parkfielders back in school on Monday 4th January.
CORONAVIRUS - TRACK AND TRACE
School are responsible for track and trace if any child or member of staff develops coronavirus symptoms within 48 hours of being in contact with their bubble and then tests positive.
As a result, please contact myself (email@example.com) if your child develops coronavirus symptoms this weekend and needs to go for a test. A positive test will unfortunately result in the bubble having to isolate for 10 days over Christmas but it will help keep families and the wider community safe.
You will receive another email today with our community Newspaper attached. It's full of wonderful information form the whole term and highlights the fantastic term we've all had, despite the pandemic. Huge thanks to Mr Haughton for putting the community newspaper together. If you'd like to look at previous editions, you can find them here: https://www.parkfieldprimary.com/website/community-newspapers.html
