School Updates - Friday 3rd April 2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we finish our second week with the school closed and with the vast majority of pupils working from home I'd like to thank you for all the work being completed online and for the photographs of all the wonderful home learning taking place. The slideshow Mr Haughton has brilliantly created, on the link below, demonstrates some of the wonderful work taking place.
PROVISION AT LITTLE HEATON
Parkfield remains closed and we are continuing to use Little Heaton as our base for a small number of Parkfield pupils. Parkfield staff are on site between 8.45am and 3.15pm to support the children attending Little Heaton. If your circumstances change and you no longer need to use the provision at Little Heaton please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can plan our staffing appropriately.
CLOSED ON GOOD FRIDAY AND BANK HOLIDAY
Over the two week Easter period, children of key workers are still able to acess the provision being offered. Unfortunately, Little Heaton will not be open on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday. The demand for places on these days is so low across both schools that it's not possible to open.
Over the two week Easter period no work will be set by teachers on Showbie. However, all the links on our new home learning page ( https://curriculum.parkfieldprimary.com/home-learning) will still be accessible.
FREE SCHOOL MEALS VOUCHER SCHEME
For those entitled to Free School Meals you should have recieved an email from the Department for Education regarding the national voucher scheme that has been set up. Please note that vouchers are not provided over the 2 week Easter period.
Please also note that this is not the same as 'Universal Free School Meals' which children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 automatically recieve. If you are entitled and haven't recieved the email, please contact email@example.com and we will do our best to help.
If you need to contact school, then please email firstname.lastname@example.org . Please do not come to the school site as it's closed. For anything related to home learning please email email@example.com. In an emergency, then please ring the school telephone number and you will find details of how to contact us further.
And finally… thank you for all your help and support, stay safe and enjoy your Easter holidays.
Mr M Kemp
